Introduction to byzantine notation

This 6 week class provides an introduction to the scales and notation used in the traditional chant of the Orthodox Church. By the end of this class, students will be able to read and chant simple hymns from Byzantine notation including some of the Resurrectional Apolytikia, Antiphons of Orthros, and some Vespers hymns.
